Tofu Madness
Yes, I will blog about something besides food at some point. But blogging about anything else actually takes a little time, and what I want to write about will take some research.
So for now, more food...
Tonight was red onions and more of that awesome Wildwood SprouTofu, which really is amazing stuff. 6 very large jalapenos sliced large. A very stuffed handful of fresh basil and rosemary from our garden. And then tomatoes added after it was done cooking so they just heat up a bit.
It was nice. Cindy thought it had more flavor than I did. I couldn't taste the jalapenos or the herbs at all. I think it would have been better with a head of garlic. Hey, everything is better with a head of garlic... well, almost everything. Perhaps that explains why I wasn't tasting as much as I wanted. Killed my taste buds with too much garlic, too many vindaloos, or something. Maybe better with walnuts. Maybe both walnuts and garlic.
One of our favorite pasta toppings is just garlic and walnuts with a touch of oregano. We haven't done that in a while, should do it again soon.
