School Vouchers in Lousiana
How is it proof that the system works if everyone wants to use school vouchers in Louisiana to send their kids to a religious school, an Islamic school comes along and wants to use the vouchers as well, all hell breaks loose with the Christians who don't want to fund another religion, and the Islamic school withdraws the request?
Where is that Freedom of Religion that everyone keeps saying they want?
Personally I still believe we need to figure out the public school systems. They were built to give a common sense of community to Americans and to also teach them the skills needed for the country to thrive. If what I have heard about the schools that the vouchers will be used in, I am not convinced that there is a common community nor a desire to actually educate kids in what I understand education to be about. Like the ability to think critically.
